Showcase and Professional Learning Workshop

Waukee APEX Showcase Event

The Waukee Aspiring Professional Experience (APEX) program cordially invites you to their bi-annual Showcase and Professional Learning Workshop.

Our next event will be held on Monday, May 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center. The Showcase is FREE and open to the public. The Showcase, planned in collaboration with the Science Center of Iowa, will feature interactive displays showcasing concepts and learning from this semester’s work-based learning projects.  You will have the opportunity to interact with APEX students, connect with faculty and staff and network with various business and college partners. Families can learn about emerging careers, district clubs, courses, internships, apprenticeships and college programs that can help put students on the right path for their future.

In addition to the free Showcase on Monday evening, school districts are invited to learn more about the Waukee APEX program and how you can also prepare high school students to be successful beyond the classroom through a professional learning workshop. The professional learning workshop will be hosted the following day on Tuesday, May 8 from 8 AM – 2:30 PM at the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center.

If you are an academic or business partner interested in setting up a booth for the Showcase, please fill out the table registration form.  There is no charge to share more information about your company or school at the Showcase. Be aware if you are bringing any food or candy to hand out at your table, we are a “peanut and tree nut aware” facility. If you have questions, please contact the APEX Education and Business Event Manager, Anna Jordal, at or 515-987-9888. Deadline to register for a table is Monday, April 30, 2018.
